looks like another lonely night
into the town, riding down south,
the wind blowing my hair as the moon shines down
I can smell the salt of the ocean, I wanna hear the crash of the waves,
the sand in my toes, I wanna breathe life completely in again
the smoke rises, as he exhales the last breath of a cigarrette,
rolls the joint so tight and smooth, this was his only interest,
we're all just sittin around, waiting for time to pass us by,
what is this place we live in, these moments wasted we call life,
I drift away, I'm in the clouds, as they say,
my body relaxes as I inhale the high
taking me places I never knew I could go tonight
with nothing to lose and nothing to do
this is what I have become waiting around for you
I thought this would help, growing numb,
and as I lay down I have no more to think about
but as I awake everything hits me
reality sets in stronger
and its back to the same day, old me
I lay my head down, I'm drowning in thought
feeling there's no way out,
afraid to be alone
I settle for the easy way
the simplest one.
yet I am still unsatisfied
