sit down, it's been a while

quite some time since I've heard from you

talked about life, what's been new and who has been with who

how are you, how has everything come along?

have you moved on? do you still feel alone?

I hope you're happy, whatever you choose

life has been hard, yeah, for me, but we win, we lose,

people change, people lose sight of what we once hoped for

but maybe soon, someday, we'll all remember what we longed 

to have, what we held so dear, that we all let go,

our dreams slowly slipped away, but 

somehow we still held on

memories scatter, you and I, we were meant to be,

and as life unravels it's pieces, I'll gather them,

taking every day as it comes, eventually finishing 

a beautiful puzzle
