falling into a deep nightmare

I awaken to the sound, the sound of

something so beautiful I could never speak it

only dreaming would have me realize what it was

knowing what I know when I sleep

finding you somewhere in my state of unconsciousness

this lovely, pure beginning has my bones aching

straining every muscle in my being to reach you

you seem so far away but yet you're so close I could touch you

looking upon this beauty in front of me

my very eyes are blinded by what I can barely see

tell me its ok, leave this past behind,

it's time to unravel the pain

take it off my chest, rewind,

only so I can fast forward to the future

nothing but bright in you

trusting with everything

never looking back to what could've been

but looking to what is and what can be
